The Waring Blender has a history of being a winner

but not all pass the test

Fred Waring and Fred Osius first created the Waring Blender back in 1936. It was known then as the Waring Blendor, but was changed in 1938 to the Waring Blender to help separate it from other 'blendors'. They took over a year to hone and perfect it down to what became known as the "Miracle Mixer" which was unveiled at the National Restaurant Show in Chicago, IL.

By 1940 it had grown to be the most popular blender in most large facilities such as hospitals and schools. The Waring company is who we have to thank for a good number of frozen mixed drinks today.

Production had to be halted during World War II for wartime efforts, but by 1953 it was back in full swing with new attachments and colors and closing in on over 1,000,000 Waring professional blenders having been sold.

By the 1980's not only had the company survived a flood and a headquarters move, it thrived becoming the first 'push button' blender, and in 1985 introduced its first Waring Pro blender. From there it expanded into over 80 countries world wide.

In 1998, Waring was purchased by the Conair Corporation, but never lost its stride, continuing to invent new things including the first electric martini maker, complete with cocktail shaker and measuring cup, more innovations with professional blenders and they do not seem to be slowing down at all.

How does this company with such a strong track record hold up when given a closer look?

While getting actual statistics for the blenders was like pulling teeth, I had to go through customer service repeatedly. I have done the homework for you, and compiled the blenders that they were willing to give me the statistics on for those still in production as well as those that are no longer being produced. I have marked those that are no longer in production so that they are easy to tell apart.

With a variety of models and colors to choose from they should have something for everyone. Let's find out which one is for you!

The Waring Professional Bar Blenders

Waring offers two types of "Professional Bar Blenders" and those are the WPB series and the one they simply call the "Professional Bar Blender" the stats on these blenders are nothing short of the best that Waring has to offer its consumers. While the price tag can be high, these Waring blenders are the top of the line in the series.

Those covered in the review section for these blenders are the Waring pro WPB series and the 3hp Waring MX1000. If you want to know more about these particular blenders follow this link to our Review section.

The Waring Pro Blender Line

These blenders represent the blenders Waring offers to the contemporary home. This category is made up of the some very fine models itself.

I feel that while Waring is a strong contender because they have produced some of the best blenders made in quite some time. However, they fell short on one or two of the models reviewed here.

Not as powerful as the Pro series or the Professional bar blenders above. But they are ideal for home usage and parties at your place. In my review I touch base on the Waring Pro: MBB Series and PBB Series, the Waring Pro Ebony With Stainless Steel, as well as the Tailgater Series. You can read more on these three series of blenders by following the link to our review.
