Yay ... or Nay ?

When it comes to the Montel Williams HealthMaster Blender, I am sure by now you have read the articles, listened to the hype on the TV or radio, maybe even saw some crazy 'live on TV' demo of the Montel Williams' blender. Well, I got to see this thing in action and get some consumer reports.

Montel's blender, long ago used to be called the Jack La Lanne Healthmaster.

You remember Jack La Lanne, right?
You know, the old guy from the 80's that could swim the ocean pulling a tanker with his teeth one handed or some crazy stuff?
Yeah.
Him.

But this one has been 'updated' with a new keypad and fancy light work. Well for all its hype, the millions spent in advertising, and the massive iconic celebrity pushing the product, you would think it actually came close to delivering.

I could not be more disappointed in this blender. The 'soup' is nothing but pulp and chunky mess that comes out in massive globs, the other blended goods were 'average' at best. I admit, the smoothies it made were okay, but for the price you can do a lot better.

Putting aside the lack of coming through on promises 'from TV' lets go to other issues some of the consumers are having:

• Repeated Burnout
• Extremely loud noises
• Hard to open and close
• Hard to push buttons
• Bogus warranty
• You pay for the multiple replacements
• Failure in under a week with regular use

On top of all that it continues to deliver failure.

Failure in the form of tetanus.

No, I am not kidding, this thing rusts!

But that has to be the most horrifying thing I have seen. This blender, that they advertise you make baby food with, RUSTS EASILY! So you, and your children get to eat rust and such?

No thank you.

Especially for the almost 200 dollar price tag!

For 200 dollars you can buy yourself something useful like...I dont know, 200 dollar store bags of candy.

No, I only jest on that last part. But there are so many other better blenders out there that won't cause you harm or break down so quickly.

My personal advice is simply: Take your money elsewhere.

Invest it in a better blender like an Oster or a Dualit . Or if you really want to go for broke, use it as a head-start on one of the higher end bar blenders.

In short: I would not ever buy The Montel Williams HealthMaster. Find a company that delivers on its promise.

Find something that will keep you and your family safe. Don't buy into the hype.
