The Blendtec Blender

Is This the Future of the Blending World?

I've finally gotten my hands on the Blendtec blender. Although it has a smaller stance than the Vita-mix blender I have to say this is one of the only blenders I feel that is even in the league of the Vita-mix.

Blendtec Blender Reviews

The Blendtec features commercial or professional quality technology and design with a 3 hp motor as well as pre-programmed blending cycles which allow you to walk away after pressing a single button, and it will automatically shut off for you.

It has an ice crushing guarantee and two prong stainless steel blades that spin at over 20,000 RPM. The blending jar is 32 ounces and made of the polycarbonate that most high-quality blenders use for their containers.

The warranty is not as strong as the Vita-mix blender though. Blendtec only offers a three-year motor guarantee and a one-year jar guarantee, but it does offer a lifetime warranty on the blades and coupling.

Standing about 15 1/2 inches tall and weighing 11 pounds the Blendtech blender houses sturdy capabilities for making fresh juice, ice cream, margaritas, sauces, breads and just about anything else you can possibly want to make in a blender. You can even make wheat grains turn into flour with the push of a button.

It comes with six preset blending modes, with a speed up, speed down, and pulse option. The 3 hp direct drive motor powered by over 1500 Watts spins the two-pronged blades at around 2900 RPM. Like most blenders it includes a recipe book with a bunch of recipes to get you going. Blendtec offers its blender in both black, and white and is priced comparatively to other blenders of this magnitude.

Playing around with it was a whole lot of fun, even if I did want to wear earplugs. 100% built in the USA and a lifetime warranty on the coupling and the blades made a pretty attractive offer for me to consider purchasing one. The powerful blades attached to a strong motor allow this blender to blend just about anything, and the commercials for the Blendtec blender are absolutely hilarious.

Its smaller stature allows to be stored a little bit easier than the Vita-mix competitor.

While I personally own the Vita-mix blender due to the fact that I work with a lot of people, make a lot of food once, and need the extra size that the Vita-mix offers if I were to be needing a smaller blender I would definitely go with the Blendtec. The quality is outstanding, the customer service can't be beat, and is just as powerful as my Vita-mix that I use regularly.

Blendtech Blender Potential Drawbacks.

Customer reviews for Blendtec total blender are generally in favor of it with the only real complaints being the noise that it makes.

However, the fact that its base is made of plastic could also be a turn off. I believe that any blender that costs this much should have a higher quality metal base instead of plastic.

The warranty is also a good bit less than the Vita-mix blender that I reviewed.

Another aspect of the Blendtec blenders that might be a turnoff is that for some reason the plastic jar that the Blendtech uses scratches easily if you use seeds are grains such as wheat, sunflower seeds, or anything else that you might want to blend with sharp corners.

However, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who complained about the mechanical condition of the this blender.

Between the Blendtec blender and the Vita-mix blender, one of these two will have to suit your needs because these are the cream of the crop, best of the best, and deserve much more praise than the price tag allows most people to give. With the Blendtec blender, you get what you pay for, and that's a lot.

Where to Find a Good Deal on Blendtec Blender.

Online stores often have Blendtec blenders on reduced price and offer to ship them free. The most popular Blendtec Total Blender, for instance, can be had here for 33% OFF.

For other models of Blendtec blenders, generally you can find a good deal on brand new blenders here with the price reduced at about 25% off (at least). This allows you to save money and get a higher quality blender for the same cost as a lower quality one.
